HND Early Childhood Alliance

The Healthy North Dakota Early Childhood Alliance (HNDECA) was created to carry out the requirements of the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems (ECCS) Grant which is received by the North Dakota Department of Health. The goal of the ECCS grant is to develop and implement collaborations and partnerships to support families and communities in their development of children, ages 0 to 8, that are healthy and ready to learn at school entry. The HNDECA has developed a early childhood systems plan which addresses these five components: Access to Health Insurance and Medical Home; Mental Health and Social/Emotional Development; Early Care and Education; Parent Education; and Family Support.

A new advocacy video, Say Yes, Now! is a free online resource that reinforces the message that we need more funding for early care and education. Say Yes, Now! shows young children learning communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills, that will serve them--and society--all of their lives. It conveys both children's delight in learning and adults' commitment to foster their growth and development.
