Healthy Kids, Healthy Weight (HKHW) Toolkit
Healthy Kids, Healthy Weight (HKHW) Toolkit - Developed by Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health to help connect families with community-based physical activity and food/nutrition programs/services to positively impact children’s weight. It is also used to connect public and private providers as they work together in helping families use and evaluate community physical activity and food/nutrition services/programs. The pilot project is supported by the State Vision and Strategy for a Healthy North Dakota. The HKHW Toolkit lists community business names and locations, personal contact names and numbers at the business, a brief paragraph as to what the service/program offers, expected outcomes if the family utilizes the service/program, times of operation, and costs for using the service/program. BBPH developed the Toolkit with input from the Activate Bismarck/Mandan Coalition.
